Wow stock conrol can be a pain - a client has been 'free-issuing' materials form one location to another - and between two disparate stock management systems.
The issues have been going on for just 3 months and only involve about 800 different parts - but already there is hardly any correspondence between the two systems. I can't make people count things correctly or follow procedure - but I can help identify the problems. I plan a small application that will login to both the systems, compare the relevant quantities and allow drill down to the underlying transactions.

Found this article about building code using code - seems like a no brainer to me - I recently wrote some code to analyse database stuctures, create hibernate POJO classes and XML files.
Yes I know abour Hibernate tools - but that did not suit may needs - I eanted somthing much more flexible - so wrote my own routines.
The result is a Java library containing 2600 POJO's and the corresponding hibernate mappings.

Well just my luck...
I'm off to New Zealand in a couple of weeks for a long overdue holiday - and now I discover that the Panther Owners Club is planning a trip there next Easter.... Hmm I'll have to think about going again next year!

Just finished a Flash project - nothing too complicated but has kept me out of mischief for a short while.
Needed a link to an external XML file to hold text to be updated on a timed basis.
Flash ActionScript sucks - why couldn't they have used Java!%&!

Been helping Janette our.. My wife is a member of a local ladies barbershop chorus (I know I hate the music too - but she get a lot of pleasure out of it - so who am I to complain?). Actually, even I have to admit that when on form, they make quite an impressive sound - just wish the barbershop songs were not so dull.
Anyway, the chorus had a truely dreadful web site and I made the mistake of saying that I would help them out with a new snazzy site. Well its all done now - and not bad if I say so myself.
Check it our for yourself - if you like it and want somthing like this for yourself, I take commissions!!
